Dopamine is a necessity of life. We often look to external sources for our dopamine, but internal sources can be just as important and perhaps more sustainable.

Our attention is often automatically turned one direction or another. The specific direction will be influenced by what the brain has determined is important – which might or might not be truly useful.
If we learn to manage our attention it has an impact on what we see, what we feel and how we interact with others.
Dream jobs are wonderful. But they don’t always last. And staying in the position long after the passion is gone can damage one’s confidence and sense of self.
While people shy away from role play, it can be extremely helpful in making learning stick.
It does require a safe setting and an effective setup in a training environment.
Role play can also be very effective in 1-1 coaching sessions.
Accountability is misunderstood by many. Some people hold accountability like a whip and others don’t hold it at all.
Somewhere in the middle ground is a way to hold accountability so others know you are interested in what they are doing, because that is a great motivator.
Many of us enjoy giving advice. It feels good, solid, comfortable and even rewarding. But if we want to embrace coaching and truly empower others, we need to look at ourselves and stop controlling the conversation.
